Part 2: Consultation with Trumbull Satellite Content Manager Report (25 points)

    • This happens during class on February 6, 2024.*
    • Your Report of this Consultation is DUE February 14, 2024 (11:59pm, EST)
    • The Content Manager will be in charge of these consultations, and she may choose to:
      • meet with each staff member individually
      • meet with all staff members in a group meeting
      • or a combination of both
    • I will be there as well, as the Publisher (Ex-officio)—a staff or board member who has voting rights but (in this case) no final decision rights.
    • Attend the class/staff meeting, participate, and you will earn the full 25 points.

Part 3: Mandatory Conference (25 points)

    • You will meet with me sometime between February 6 (after class) and February 17, 2024.
      • We can meet either in my office (a sign-up sheet will be made available)
      • or online via KSU Google Chats (see the Conference Appointments page for online meetings).
    • We will discuss additional strategies for your project, and clarify what you must do for the Content Manager vs. what you must do to earn a good grade for this project.
    • Meet with me during this time period, and you will earn the full 25 points.
    • Fail to meet with me during this time period, and you will not earn any points for this part.

Part 5: Peer Review & Staff Workshop (125 points)

    • These are Staff Meetings. The general agenda for each meeting is listed below. Each meeting will be awarded roughly 15-30 minutes of class time.
    • The Content Manager will be in charge of these consultations, and she may choose to:
      • meet with each staff member individually
      • meet with all staff members in a group meeting
      • or a combination of both
    • I will be there as well, as the Publisher (Ex-officio)—a staff or board member who has voting rights but (in this case) no final decision rights.
    • Attend the class/staff meeting, participate, and you will earn the full points for that day (see below).
    • Stage 1 (25 points): 
      • These meetings will happen on the following class dates:
        • January 23 (5 points): Discussion of ideas for goals for the semester.
        • January 30 (5 points): Discussion of ideas for goals for the semester.
        • February 6* (5 points): Discussion of issues and concerns with projects/goals in general (in addition to the Content Manager’s Consultation on particular projects).
        • February 13 (10 points): Discussion of issues and concerns with projects/goals in general, and voting on plans.
    • Stage 2 (50 points):
      • These meetings will happen on the following class dates:
        • February 20 (10 points): Verbal progress reports on projects, and discussion of issues and concerns with projects and general magazine goals. 
        • February 27 (10 points): Verbal progress reports on projects, and discussion of issues and concerns with projects and general magazine goals. 
        • March 5 (10 points): Verbal progress reports on projects, and discussion of issues and concerns with projects and general magazine goals. 
        • March 12 (10 points): Verbal progress reports on projects, and discussion of issues and concerns with projects and general magazine goals. 
        • March 19 (10 points): Verbal progress reports on projects, and discussion of issues and concerns with projects and general magazine goals. 
    • Stage 3 (50 points):
      • These meetings will happen on the following class dates:
        • April 2 (10 points): Verbal progress reports on projects, and discussion of issues and concerns with projects and general magazine goals. Content Manager will assign who will be reviewing whose work.
        • April 9 (10 points): Peer Reviews and Workshop—reviewers will provide feedback and there will be discussion for what needs to be done for improvements/polishing. The Content Manager may choose to contribute to these discussions.
        • April 16 (10 points): Peer Reviews and Workshop—a continued discussion in which improvements and/or struggles are shared so that reviewers can provide further feedback in a discussion for what needs to be done for improvements/polishing. The Content Manager may choose to contribute to these discussions.
        • April 23 (10 points): Peer Reviews and Workshop—a continued discussion in which improvements and/or struggles are shared so that reviewers can provide further feedback in a discussion for what needs to be done for improvements/polishing. The Content Manager may choose to contribute to these discussions.
        • April 30 (10 points): Discuss the future of Trumbull Satellite
